Paramount Plus 'Godfather' series 'The Offer' sets premiere date

The upcoming drama from Paramount +, The offer, which traces the making-of dramatically The Godfather, has set a premiere date.

The series, limited to 10 episodes with a star-studded cast and led by Miles Teller, will have its first three episodes on Thursday 28th. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly on Thursdays.

The offer is inspired by the experiences of producer Albert S. Ruddy, who made the 1972 Oscar-winning film The Godfather. The film won three Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Marlon Brando’s portrayal as Vito Corleone. As is well known, Brando refused to accept the Oscar.

Teller plays Ruddy and is supported by Matthew Goode as Robert Evans, Juno Temple as Bettye McCartt, Giovanni Ribisi as Joe Colombo, Dan Fogler as director Francis Ford Coppola, Burn Gorman as Charles Bluhdorn, Colin Hanks as Barry Lapidus and Patrick Gallo as Mario Puzo . Grey’s Anatomy Alum Justin Chambers plays Brando.

The offer was created and written by Michael Tolkin and written and executed by Nikki Toscano, who also doubles as the showrunner. Ruddy, Teller, Russell Rothberg and Leslie Greif are executive producers in addition to Dexter Fletcher, who also directed the first block of episodes.
