Olivia Newton-John’s daughter shares behind-the-scenes footage from their iconic couple

Olivia Newton-John’s daughter, Chloe Latanzi, is sharing some behind-the-scenes exclusives from their iconic 2021 couple. Latanzi took to Instagram to share a clip of the pair singing “Window in the Wall”, a song that brought the late actress out of retirement and back into the studio.

In the video, the mother-daughter duo can be seen recording the track, sharing special moments in the studio and collaborating on the moving tune.

Latanzi wrote along with the video, “You are my lighthouse mama. My safe place. My heart’s place. It has been my honor and it has been my honor to be your child and best friend.” “You are an angel on earth and everyone you touch is blessed. I love you forever as my life giver, my teacher, my mother.”

ET spoke to the couple in January 2021 about how the duet came to be, and the exclusive source that encouraged Newton-John to re-record.

“This one woman I met at a health clinic sent me a song and said, ‘I’ve been called to send this song to you. I believe you need to record it. It was written by my cousin,” Newton-John recalled. “I thought, ‘Oh my god, what if I hate this?'”

Newton-John’s fears were unfounded, as she and her husband, John Easterling, “became really emotional because the songs really affected us.” After deciding that she wanted to “record” the song, Newtown-John quickly knew who she wanted by her side for the process.

Newton-John said at the time, “I thought the only person Chloe would sing it with was me, because it was such a personal song.” “Luckily she agreed. It’s not really her style of music, but it was a very special thing to do with her.”

“I was honored that my mom asked as many people as I could,” Latanzi said. “It meant the world to me.”

Recording the song with her daughter was “a very special healing process” for Newton-John, who told ET that she hopes the result will affect those who listen to it as well.

“When I first heard the song, it touched my heart because it’s about seeing another person’s point of view and still loving and understanding them,” she said. “At this special time in the world, at this very unusual time on the planet, having compassion for each other and friendship for each other is the right message.”

Newton-John continued, “We are all so connected and we must value that connectedness, not our divisiveness.” “Just to share in love, because we are all together on this planet at the moment, and we are all one.”

Apart from recording the song together, the mother-daughter duo also filmed a music video together. Shot over the course of a day at Newton-John’s California home, the location only added to the meaning of the song.

“At the bottom of our property, we have a seasonal river … we’re lucky that was running at this particular time,” Newton-John said. ,[The] The synchronicity was amazing. The complete synchronicity of how we had one of the hottest days in winter to film on how I got the song, how the river was running. It was like, everything is fine.”

Newton-John’s husband broke the news of her passing on Monday morning in an emotional tribute shared on Instagram, with a photo of the actress writing, “Dame Olivia Newton-John (73) passed away this morning on her farm in Southern California. Died in peace, surrounded by family and friends.”

The statement continued, “Olivia has been a symbol of victory and hope for more than 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer.” “Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, which is dedicated to research on plant medicine and cancer. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that the @onjfoundation be in her memory. Some donation should be given to him.”

Newton-John’s long-term battle with cancer began in 1992 when she went public with her first diagnosis of breast cancer. She funds the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Center in Melbourne, Australia and has been a fierce advocate for cancer treatment and research.
