Nick Jonas shares song he sang for daughter as she is honored with the Golden Glove Award

Nick Jonas is bringing his wife and their baby girl along on his health journey, and the singer is opening up about how parenthood has “definitely” changed his approach to health philosophy.

Jonas was honored with the Golden Glove Award by the Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation at its 11th annual Big Fighters, Big Cause charity boxing night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on Wednesday.

The singer — who has struggled with type 1 diabetes since childhood and has been an outspoken advocate for diabetes health and awareness — spoke with ET’s Cassie DiLaura about the honor, and his own well-being of his wife and infant daughter. Talked about the role in the endeavours.

“Whenever I get the opportunity to raise awareness for the diabetes community, it is always huge for me and I have lived with it for 16 years and it blows my mind that I would get to raise awareness like this. And hopefully we can do something cool here tonight,” said Jonas, sharing his enthusiasm for helping the pediatric diabetes charity organization.

According to Jonas, his wife, Priyanka Chopra, has been with him as he navigated his situation since the beginning of their relationship, and his health was “one of the first things we talked about.”

“It’s such a big part of my life and has been for so long, obviously, it was something I wanted to share with her and involve her in that journey,” he said.

As for the latest development in his life – the birth of his baby girl Malti – Jonas said that parenthood has “changed everything! For the better, of course!”

For Jonas, the most important thing about health is “doing everything you can to take care of yourself. And you’ll never get it 100 percent right, but I do my best.” “

It seems like he’s getting it right, pacifying his newborn baby girl with some soothing sounds. The Jonas Brothers singer said he regularly shouts for his baby girl.

Jonas shared, “I sing to her. You know, I love singing to her, and yes, it’s beautiful.” “‘I’m singing just so many of you know the old classics. My wife plays it more on her iPod or whatever stuff, but I sing.”

Jonas and Chopra shared the news that they welcomed their little girl via surrogate with a joint statement in January. Then on Mother’s Day, the couple – who were married in 2018 – announced that their baby girl was finally home after more than 100 days in the NICU.

Last week, Nick gave an update on life as a new dad. The 29-year-old singer shared during an appearance on “Life is Beautiful” today performance. “She’s a gift and we’re so blessed to have her back home.”

sound “The Jonas family keeps on growing, lots of girls, no boys. My parents are thrilled. Now the grandparents of four beautiful granddaughters,” Koch said.
