The New Music Video – Billboard captures 1975’s ‘Happiness’

1975 Gearing up to release follow-up for 2020 Notes on a Conditional FormAnd on Wednesday (August 3), the English band unveiled their new music video for their latest single, “Happiness”.

In the clip, the band is seen performing on a spectacular track on a stage that looks like the living room of a mansion, as various well-dressed party attendees lounge around the space. “Show me your love / Why don’t you watch as you grow up?” front man Matty Healy Infectious repeats in chorus.

“‘Happiness’ is like… there’s literally a lot of us in the room on that track. Closed eyes… there really isn’t much structure,” Healy Recently told Zen Lowe of Apple Music track of. “It came like jamming. And we haven’t done that in all these years. So we wanted this record to be like a really captured moment and not get too built up and not even produce that much. Ho… we did it in a day or so. And we’re having fun. And I think there’s a real desire in art to see something remarkable with as little technology as possible. Do you know mine What do you mean? Like you don’t need like Paul Thomas Anderson’s straight hundred meters. Do you know what I mean?”

Regarding the upcoming album, Healy said, “On this record, we just loved being who we were. Like what is 1975, how will you print 1975? And I think we want to do what we want to do. But I think I realized that, I had a moment where I thought, I think the fans, on day one, they’re going to love it. ,
