She was five at the time, BTW.
You probably know the fleas of the world famous rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The band has won six Grammy Awards, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this year.
Anyway, bassist Flea had a really wild story about something that happened once with one of his Grammy Awards…
When Flea and the band won their first Grammy in 1993 Flea – Best Hard Rock Performance for “Give It Away” – their daughter, Clara Balzarri, was five at the time. And he used the Grammys as a garden shovel.
Chatting with LA Radio Stations crocFlea told the story: “Grammys are awesome, but when we won our first Grammy, like, three years later, my mom said, ‘Michael, where’s your Grammy?’, and I was like, ‘I don’t know, Mom. I’ve kept it somewhere.'”
“Months after that, my gardener came out to the garden from the backyard, and you know how Grammy looks like an old record player with a horn on it? My daughter had opened it and used it as a shovel for the garden. I was using it.. It had been out in the dirt for the whole winter. It was in the dirt for the whole winter and stuff.”
NBD though. Because Flea says he’s “not really an awards person.” He joked that he would “drop.” like to celebrate new album releases by[ping] Six or seven hits of acid, get naked, paint my whole body in lipstick, and run down the street screaming like crazy… It’s really no celebration, I really do this every day.”
And, you know, Flea isn’t the only one who stores her Grammys in an awkward place (or misplaces it).
Portugal. The Man’s Zach Carruthers Told Board That he keeps his Grammys wrapped up near his “yurt with a shed attached” in Portland. It’s “not really the best place to put something special until I’ve finished building something.”
Cardi B once told E! true hollywood story That all her awards – including her Grammys – remain at her mother’s house.
Jack Patterson of Clean Bandit They say She and brother Luke keep them “in a specially built temple in our parents’ bathhouse”.
Singer/songwriter Daya They say About her Grammys: “My parents took it back to their old house in Pittsburgh because they thought I’d lose or break it somehow. They’re probably right… but it still hurts. “
and Patrick Carney of The Black Keys They say: “I keep myself near the pawn shop in Ohio.” He’s probably joking. (I feel?)
The weirdest place you’ve ever heard an artist hold their award?
Don’t Trust On this News and Website Maybe it’s Fake
