Ozzy Osbourne’s ‘Patient No. 9’ Tops Hot Hard Rock Songs Chart – Billboard

Ozzy Osbourne hits number 1 Board9″ featuring guitarist Jeff Beck topped the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart for the first time on July 9.

According to Luminate, in the tracking week of June 24-30, “Patient” earned 2.2 million radio audience impressions, sold 1.4 million official US streams and 1,800 downloads.

As Osbourne Tops Hot Hard Rock Songs, which debuted in June 2020, eclipses her first No. 7 best she achieved in June 2020 with “Ordinary Man” featuring Elton John. Beck reigns in his first appearance on the rankings.

Concurrently, “Patient” debuted at numbers 17 and 22 on Hot Rock Songs and Hot Rock and Alternative Songs, respectively.

The track jumped 21–12 on Rock and Alternative airplay after its first full week of tracking for the survey (June 27–July 3; it was released on June 24).

“Patient” plays lead 20-9 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, becoming Osbourne’s 20th Top 10 as a solo artist and her first since “Ordinary Man” (number 7, May 2020) . Beck added his third Top 10 and first since his SEAL collab “Manic Depression”, which peaked at number 10 in February 1994. Beck’s 28-year, five-month, and one-week gap between the top 10 is the longest of the chart’s 41-. Year history, 27 years for Elton John, passing a break of seven months and three weeks between his “runway train”, which featured Eric Clapton (who last ranked in the top 10 on September 12, 1992) and his was characteristic. On Osbourne’s “Ordinary Man” (May 2, 2020).

“Patient” debuted at #1 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales, the fifth single for Osbourne, the reigning former Black Sabbath singer, and the first for Beck.
