Showcasing her new bare noggin, the “female” musician began with a heart-to-heart conversation with fans about why she decided to make such a bold style choice. “I feel like I should never have had hair,” she said. “I don’t like having hair. I can’t tell you once since the beginning of my life that I’ve ever been like, ‘That’s cool.’ I don’t like having hair.”

Doja also pointed out that she rarely displayed her natural hair in the first place, instead spending most of her career wearing different colored wigs. “I remember the f—king being so tired from working out,” she continued, explaining that her wigs often slipped around and peeled off her head during training. “I was working out, but I couldn’t concentrate because I was more concerned with how I looked and how my hair was doing.”

“I can’t believe it took me so long to be like, ‘Shave your f-king head,'” she said. “I’m really liking it. What’s the use of wearing hair if you’re not going to the king? I don’t even sport it.”

Then, the Grammy winner upped the ante by coating her forehead with shaving cream and pulling out a razor as seen by nearly 20,000 other Instagram users. “My makeup artist just texted me, ‘Are you plucking your eyebrows? I’m running the f—k over,'” Doja told her audience, laughing. “I’m gonna do it.”
