Charlie Puth reveals release date and art for new album ‘Charlie’ – Billboard

Charlie Puth is gearing up to release his third studio album, and on Thursday (July 7) dropped not only his respective artwork, but details about its release date as well as its production via Instagram. A message was also given.

“This is the official artwork for my album Charlie. This album was born on the internet, and I’ve had a lot of fun making it in front of you all over the past year. 2019 I used to think that to be an artist, you had to Have to hide and talk to no one to make your art,” he captioned the image. “You make a lot better art when you involve millions of people in the process. (For me at least.) I hope you cry every word when you sing these songs on tour because they wouldn’t be here without you. Thanks. Charlie – out October 7, 2022.”

Puth has released three songs from his upcoming project – “Light Switch,” “That’s Hilarious,” and most recently, “Left and Right” featuring Jung Kook of BTS. Charlie His first album since Puth’s 2018 sophistication effort, voice notes,

During its appearance in April 2022 The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the pop singer remembered Elton John, saying, “You know, your music sucked in 2019. It wasn’t good.” While the comment was disappointing for him to hear, Puth used it as inspiration to make his music more truthful.

“I was going through a messy breakup, and I guess that was going along with it. It was kind of a wakeup call. I was in a little bit of denial… Then, the whole world shut down and I Was able to sit down with my new way of making music and decided I would never put a song out again if it wasn’t true,” he shared at the time, adding that his upcoming album Charlie Now “the most ‘me’ music ever.”
