Which MCU characters will be on the team?

(Photo: Marvel Studios)

Marvel Studios is already returning for Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/Abomination she hulk TV series, besides them Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings cameo, and his character would be ripe for a spot on the Thunderbolts. Although appearing on the team recently, Abomination isn’t a bad pick if there’s going to be a strong person on the team, plus joining him could make another character on the team. More on that later.

baron zemo

Baron Zemo was originally the leader of the Thunderbolts, so it would obviously make a ton of sense for him to appear on the MCU version of the group. Though back in another prison, Zemo’s time on the Thunderbolts (before they were secretly bad guys) came with him adopting a new persona, Citizen v. Marvel Studios could replicate this storyline on the big screen, giving the character a new lease of life. A new design for life and toys.

Yelena Belova / Black Widow

Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova has already made waves in the MCU after appearing in both the Black Widow movie and Hawkeye, so her inclusion in the Thunderbolts will give her a new team to play and a perfect showcase for her talent on screen. ,

red hulk

Yes, William Hurt passed away earlier this year, but Marvel Comics has another Red Hulk at their disposal, fellow military man General Robert L. Maverick. It seems unlikely that the character of Hurt will be recreated after his many appearances in the MCU, and General Maverick will give him a new character to introduce, as well as an entirely new Hulk for the big screen.

The ghost of Hannah John-Kamen hasn’t appeared in the MCU since Ant-Man and The Wasp, and with the character historically appearing on Thunderbolts it was a golden opportunity to bring her back and close fans on the character’s status. offers opportunities.

Last seen helping out by Black Widow at the end of Black Widow, the character hasn’t technically been seen in the MCU since the events of that film, Avengers: Infinity War and the like, many years earlier. Although freed from the control of the Red Room, it’s unclear whether the MCU’s Taskmaster still has his abilities available, but it’s an easy hand wave to bring him back. Taskmaster has been a part of the Thunderbolts for a long time, and his joining could give Marvel a chance to do the character in a way that will please fans.

american agent

It seems inevitable, not only because the US agent has been a central character on Thunderbolts over the years, but because there is history between recently hired director Jake Schreier and the actor who played the US agent, Wyatt Russell. . Schreier previously directed six episodes of Lodge 49, AMC’s Wyatt Russell-starring series, including the series finale. There is a precedent both on the page and behind the camera, so consider it a lock.

Whiplash has been a member of the Thunderbolts for a long time, but even it seems likely about finding Bigfoot. Mickey Rourke hated playing the character and it seems there is no lost love between Marvel. It could be fun to reprise the role and then have Whiplash killed off permanently like in the opening scene of The Suicide Squad, right?

the winter Soldier

The addition of Sebastian Stan, another Classic member, and former leader of the Thunderbolts, as Bucky Barnes would give the character a new place to appear in the MCU, but also plenty of screen time once again with Baron Zemo. It’s unclear whether Bucky will also appear in the upcoming Captain America 4, so a spot on the Thunderbolts will give MCU fans their Winter Soldier fix.

a surprise new character

Marvel wouldn’t use an opportunity like this to not expand the MCU with at least one new character. Thunderbolt has enjoyed countless members throughout the pages of Marvel Comics, so the likes of Moonstone, Beetle, or Hyperion all seem like likely candidates that might appear.
