Which Marvel Movies and Shows Will Be in Phase 6 of the MCU?

Last weekend Marvel Studios rocked house at San Diego Comic-Con, making a ton of highly anticipated announcements in Hall H, including their full Phase 5 line-up and more. Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige also took the time to reveal that Phases 4, 5 and 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe now officially have a name, The Multiverse Saga. Feige also announced the films that will form Phase 6 with the final film in the saga confirmed to be none other than Avengers: Secret Wars. Although these were the only confirmed titles for Phase 6, Marvel teased release dates for everything else, so it makes us wonder: What Marvel movies and shows will be in Phase 6 of the MCU?

In addition to the three feature films they announced (Fantastic Four on November 8, 2024; Avengers: The Kong Dynasty May 2, 2025; and Avengers: Secret Wars on November 7, 2025), Marvel has confirmed upcoming projects on these windows and in Of. Specific dates: two titles in the fall of 2024, a winter 2024 release, a feature film on February 14, 2025, two spring 2025 releases, a summer 2025 release, and a feature film on July 25, 2025.

So what will fill these dates? Considering the name “The Multiverse Saga” and the multiple titles Avengers: Secret Wars will require in play, we have a few guesses. Let’s break it down with confirmations and predictions below!

Fallout 2024: Armor Battle Series (Prediction)

The Don Cheadle-starring series is still confirmed to be in the works, but its absence from the Phase 5 line-up surprised many fans. Perhaps the most likely answer is that it’s only on the list of shows that will appear in Phase 6, and we’re guessing it will be the first. We’d also like to make another guess, because the reason why Armor Wars came so late is that Cheadle’s character would be revealed as a Skrull in Secret Assault. A series focusing on her character will need to come after her anyway, but its location right after the Thunderbolts also makes a lot of sense.

November 8, 2024: Fantastic Four (confirmed)

Kevin Feige flat out confirmed that the Fantastic Four’s MCU reboot will release in November 2024, marking the debut in Phase 6 and kickstarting the road to Secret Wars. This film will be necessary to reach the final film of The Multiverse Saga as the first family of Marvels plays a major role in that story.

February 14, 2025: Squadron Supreme (Prediction)

The structure of most films in these most recent phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is mostly sequels with two new “franchises”. For example Phase 5 only has Blade and Thunderbolt as “new” films, while the other four titles are all sequels. We believe Phase 6 will do the same, and we’re guessing Marvel will roll the dice on Squadron Supreme in the February slot.

One thing Marvel Studios can really do to pave the road for Secret Wars is to set up stories on another earth. They can do this by giving us a Squadron Supreme movie, naturally focusing on Hyperion, and tricking the audience into thinking it’s set in the MCU’s “616” universe, only to pull the rug out from under us and To show a world destroyed by an intrusion, and Hyperion being its sole survivor.

Spring 2025: Wakanda TV Series (Prediction)

Disney+ has been confirmed to be in the works on a Wakanda-focused series, though no official word has been announced on what it will be. with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Coming this November, there will be some distance between the ending of the film and this TV show, but Marvel fans will undoubtedly want an update on what’s happening in the state first. secret war to start. Don’t forget, Jonathan Hickman’s New Avengers saw the first invasion of Earth-616 take place in Wakanda.

Spring 2025: Young Avengers Series (Prediction)

(Photo: Marvel Comics)

Marvel Studios is carefully laying the groundwork for Young Avengers to make its debut, introducing most of the major characters in other shows and teasing their arrival in some upcoming projects. Billy and Tommy were introduced in WandaVision, Kate Bishop debuted as Hawkeye in his co-starring series with Jeremy Renner, America Chavez arrived in our universe in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Cassie Lang Official. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantummania. It makes sense for these heroes to all gather together at the end of Phase 6, not only because of the Secret Wars, but because of what comes next…

May 2, 2025: Avengers: Kang Dynasty (confirmed)

The summer of 2025 will begin with Avengers 5, titled The Kong Dynasty and directed by Destin Daniels Cretton. What’s unclear about the movie…Who will be the part of Earth’s mightiest heroes in this movie? One hypothesis is that Captain Marvel and the Hulk continue to team up, as seen at the end of Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings. We’ll guess the rest of the roster will include Shang-Chi himself, plus Wong, Sam Wilson/Captain America, and perhaps some newcomers to the Young Avengers.

Summer 2025: Ghost Rider Series (Prediction)

Marvel is very much looking forward to the return of Ghost Rider, and he sounds like exactly the kind of character they’d rather have on Disney+ than gamble on the premiere on the big screen. Ahead of Secret Wars, which could well see something like the return of Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze, getting the MCU’s version of the Spirit of Vengeance in the minds of viewers seems like a great idea. Especially because what we think comes next…

July 25, 2025: Doctor Strange 3 (Prediction)

post credits scene Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Sows Charlize Theron as Klee and recruits Stephen Strange to help her fix an intrusion. The intrusions mentioned in that sequel so far are the only clues to its reach. secret warSo its another set-up paves the way for the end of The Multiverse Saga.

November 7, 2025: Avengers: Secret Wars (Confirmed)

this is happening. The thing that Anthony and Joe Russo have been promoting for years (and won’t seem) to direct, and which Marvel fans suspect, is officially on the way and will conclude The Multiverse Saga. Avengers: Secret Wars appears to be a reboot of the title from 2015 written by Jonathan Hickman, which combined several different Earths/timelines/universes into one planetary, all-new battle world.

Following the monstrous success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans are almost certainly expecting a lot of multiverse appearances in Secret Wars. So what does this mean? Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine? Nicolas Cage’s Ghost Rider? A council of Reeds made up of every other on-screen Reed Richards? Wesley Snipes Blade? The sky is the limit and the best part is that anything can happen.

Details about Secret Wars do not exist at this time, other than that they are targeting a different director than Destin Daniel Cretton, who will lead Avengers: The Kong Dynasty. Considering the release schedule of these two movies six months apart, it’s understandable why they’d need two directors, but with the ability to cast rivals like Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios might need someone who doesn’t. That would require a large aircraft that can land. no pressure.
