Avatar: The Path of Water A first look at Sigourney Weaver’s character has been revealed. In the sequel, she will be a Naavi named Kiri. Jake and Neytri adopt the teenager after the events of the first film. Fans will remember that she played Dr. Grace Augustine in the first film. But, he died during the film. There’s no rule that people can’t return to a franchise in other roles, and that’s the situation we have here. Empire Magazine took a wild look at this unexpected development. Director James Cameron isn’t shy at all in bringing his favorite actors back to work with. When the opportunity came to bring Weaver back into the fold, he probably jumped at the chance. Check out the first look at Kiri for yourself below.

Disney’s Cinemacon panel sees Cameron promise big things this year water way, “Hello, everyone. I’m coming from Wellington, New Zealand, where we’re working hard to finalize Avatar Two,” Cameron began. “I want to start by saying that I know it’s been tough for the exhibition community over the past two years. I’ve been making films for 40 years, and I’ve never seen anything like it, even the business. Not even close to being threatened, I have dedicated my life.”

This is a developing story…
