The Sundance Kid May Have Some Regrets for Starring in and Producing Zoe Kravitz Super-Powered Heist Film

Zoe Kravitz is no stranger to the superhero space with projects like X-Men: First Class And Batman — and it looks like she’s adding another movie to that list. It was announced on Tuesday (Via Hollywood Reporter) that Warner Bros. has selected The Sundance Kid Might Have Some Regrets, a film adaptation of the short story of the same name from Liana Crowe. The project will star Kravitz, who will also produce with Matt Jackson (The Trial of the Chicago 7, All the Old Knives) and Jackson Pictures’ Joan Lee.

The Sundance Kid Might Have Some Regrets Described as redefining the robbery genre with a story centered on twins who rob a bank – one with supernatural powers and one without. A twin is named Maggie, who with her telekinesis, super-strength, language fluency, invincibility and more is mind and brain, while the narrator is the self-appointed face of the operation. The twins will follow Maggie every step of the way, but when their latest venture goes awry, she begins to have second thoughts about her life, especially when bullets start falling on her and her impregnable sister. Crow’s short story was originally published in the 2017 anthology Odd Sisters: Lilac City Fairy Tales.

Crow is also behind the short story “Sinkhole”, which is currently being adapted at Universal by Jordan Peele and Issa Rae. His first novel, fire seasonWill be published this summer.

Kravitz has several projects at Warner Bros., including portraying Selina Kyle/Catwoman Batman earlier this year, as well as the HBO Max film km, He is also ready to make his debut with pussy islandStarring Channing Tatum and Simon Rex, which is currently in pre-production.

“I clearly understand the seriousness of such a character and what he means to so many people,” Kravitz previously explained during DC Fandome 2021. “But what felt really important was to really focus on the story that we’re telling in this very moment, you know, and try and make a real human being. I don’t want that to be an idea.” You know, I want him to be in a real situation, in a real city, trying to survive and reacting to his pain and his history. So I really, really did, on this particular story. Focused on this woman’s life in the moment.”

“I think it was about trying to find a way to get her off the ground, so that she felt like she had an emotional journey that made sense for who she was which Selina Kyle was, but she There was something we hadn’t seen before. And yet, in some ways, it connects to the comics. I mean, that’s something that would be fun to share with the audience that there’s a lot of iconic Selina Kyle aspects to the story, but I’m not ‘I don’t think any version of the Batman stories doing any Selina stuff has done it that way.”
