The Love & Thunder star confirms he doesn’t have scenes with Guardians of the Galaxy

Thor: Love and Thunder Releasing next month, and the Taika Waititi-directed film will feature many fan-favorite characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not only this Thor Film staples such as Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), and Jamie Alexander (Lady Siff) star in the new film, but will also feature some Guardians of the Galaxy Stars. However, don’t expect all your favorites from the world of Thor to interact with the lovable space crew. Thompson recently had a conversation with fandango And she revealed that she doesn’t share any scenes with Chris Pratt (Peter Quill/Star-Lord), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Dave Bautista (Drax), or the rest of the Guardians.

“Well, I didn’t… I just came on set to watch, because I wasn’t into any Guardians stuff and I can’t remember which one of them said that to me, but someone asked me, ‘What It’s always like this?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, it is…'” Thompson shared. “I get what you were saying Taika. I think it’s like this… We’re used to a certain level of chaos. Like there exists a certain level of chaos because there’s always the version on the page And then… we throw it out and do a bunch… that we probably know… 95% of it will never be in the movie, but you do it for the 5% that could stay there Is.”

“It’s absolutely exciting,” Thompson explained. “We talk a lot about representation and obviously, in terms of the LGBTQIA community, there’s still a lot of work to be done. But if you look at the comics in the canon, there’s a lot of queer characters! It’s hard because Taika [Waititi] And I would have loved to go even further, but in terms of films, that’s all we can do. Unfortunately, Marvel movies in general don’t spend a lot of time on love stories. I think the new one will be a little different Thor, which is exciting. And to play a character that hasn’t historically been written for someone who looks like me, it all felt exciting.”
