Thor: Love and Thunder Marvel is set to bring a new skill set in Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie to the Cinematic Universe. While she will not live in other people’s bodies as the comments were once thought to suggest, Valkyrie appears in the fourth trailer. Thor The film featuring the lightning bolt weapon of Zeus. This new power is going to enhance Valkyrie’s fighting skills as the characters set themselves face to face with Christian Bale’s Gore the God Butcher. Speaking to ComicBook.com, Thompson opened up about learning to wield the new weapon, but also shared some fun insights about watching Zeus actor Russell Crowe do it.
“There are some new tricks,” admits Thompson. “I’ll be honest, I didn’t like going… I wish I had more time. Val doesn’t get as much time with Thunderbolt as she’d like, but it was a lot of fun. I hope Russell gets my say. I don’t mind but he’s amazing with it because it’s his weapon so he really learned how to wield it. Sometimes he’d rehearse outside my trailer and I’d watch him rehearse, which really It was fun. I also remember that when I was first playing Valkyrie and training for it and like with my sword with dragon fang, I just wanted to take that thing everywhere and practice. So, it was lovely to see Russell winning the tennis skirt, practicing his fielding abilities.”
Sequences seen in promotional material Thor: Love and Thunder Watch the Valkyrie wield the Golden Thunderbolt weapon in the middle of the sequence, displayed in black and white. Typically, the Valkyrie is using a sword as a weapon which was seen in Thor: Ragnarok, However, Thunderbolt won’t be the only new force to feature Valkyrie in the upcoming film. Thompson sees strength in Valkyrie’s vulnerability.
“I mean, it’s also my favorite thing about comics,” Thompson says of Valkyrie’s exploration of trauma. She has some of those comics, especially the issues that have been published since Marvel Comics, redesigning the character to look like the actress and her version of the character from the movies. watch full interview on phase zero channel To hear more about that collection!
“It’s something Stan Lee would talk about,” Thompson says. “This idea of things, our trauma, is also the source of our power. It can be a source of good power or bad power, depending on how we decide to steer it. But the things that accompany us We’ve got to take who we are and make us extraordinary in our own way. And I always thought that’s the most inspiring thing in comics, and why so many people look into them. So I really love To explore those aspects of Am Valkyrie and all these characters. And I think in this film in particular, you really get to see the ways of these characters.”
anyone else or not Thor Fans are expected for the film, Valkyrie, to show up elsewhere in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If Thompson has his way, we might see him chatting with Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk somewhere downstairs. ,[Valkyrie and Bruce Banner are] Really good friends,” Thompson says. “They’re pen pals and they text each other and they’re on different group chats, but they definitely check in. They will occasionally face each other, see how the other is doing.”
