Fans have praised Robert Pattinson’s Batman and Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman as the best interpretations of their respective characters in a long time. Pattinson starred in the most recent film based on the Caped Crusader, BatmanAnd Hoechlin stars in The CW series superman and lois, While the two projects aren’t in the same universe, fans seem to really want both their versions of Batman and Superman to meet. A fan even made a cool design that shows the two actors meeting as characters for the first time.
An Instagram artist who goes by the handle @spdrmnkyxxiii has come up with a cool concept that shows Pattinson and Hoechlin as Batman and Superman side by side. They’re both wearing the same outfit they wore to their own project and they honestly look great together. Artists also took the liberty of combining their symbols to create the world’s finest logo. You can see the fan art below!
Seeing it BatmanOf course, you can tell that it’s definitely more Batman heavy than Bruce Wayne. Pattinson doesn’t really get to explore the character’s duality like the previous actors, but it really works in the movies’ favor. Reeves wanted his film to put Batman at the fore and give Bruce Wayne room to grow. The director previously told Total Film why the film has more Batman and less Bruce Wayne.
“I knew I didn’t want to do an origin story and I didn’t want to do a story where you saw Bruce go through a trauma and then become Batman because it’s done so brilliantly at times. But I still wanted to make sure we had Batman at the center, who had the main storyline, so that it was his character arc, but he hadn’t already mastered that himself,” Reeves explained. “And so you could watch him grow, and we could see him rise to the challenge. In doing so, I wanted to lean into the idea of making it a ‘World’s Greatest Detective’ thriller. That meant Bruce Wayne. Putting Batman right in the center, because that’s the guy who will be trying to solve this mystery.”
Directed by Matt Raves, Batman Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as Edward Naston/The Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon of GCPD, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Gotham Peter Sarsgaard as DA Gil Colson, mayoral candidate Bella Real as Jaime Lawson, Andy Serkis as Alfred, and Colin Farrell as Oswald “Penguin” Coblepot. The film is now streaming on HBO Max.
