Madonna has revealed why she would direct a film about her life. The news of the biopic has been coming for some time now. Julia Garner was offered the main role in the project. Now, Madonna tells Variety that it’s up to her to tell her own story. In his own words, he called it a “preemptive strike.” Just this week, movie fans watched the release of Ek Aur White Trailer starring Ana de Armas. Famous women get biopics and very often they become male-centric projects. However, Madonna was determined not to let that happen with her story. She wanted to fully focus on her life from her point of view. Also writing the film is Diablo Cody (of Juno fame) and both are working hard to just write the script. One might only need to look at Pam and Tommy to see these stories lose sight of their protagonists. The Grammy legend won’t let that happen this time. See what he had to say below.

“I’ve lived an extraordinary life, I have to make an extraordinary film,” she said Diversity, “It was also a preemptive strike, because a lot of people were trying to make movies about me. Mostly anti-woman men. So, I put my foot in the door and said, ‘No one will tell my story, but me. ‘… I have a really long script that’s really hard for me to shorten,'” Madonna admitted. “I’m giving it away, but it’s like hacking my organs.”

“I want to share the incredible journey that has been taking me as an artist, a musician, a dancer – as a human being trying to make my way through this world,” Madonna said in a statement. “The focus of this film will always be on music. Music has moved me and art has kept me alive. There are so many untold and inspiring stories and who can tell it better than me. It’s essential to share my roller coaster ride.” Life with my voice and vision.”

“The film is an absolute labor of love for me,” Pascal said. “I’ve known Madonna since we made ‘A League of Their Own’ together, and I can’t think of anything more exciting than collaborating with her and Diablo, her true life with Donna and our partners at Universal. To bring this story on the big screen.

On Twitter, the star had previously written, “I keep forgetting I’m writing about myself……..I can’t give a shit! But really I don’t need to. The truth will set you free And be destructive too!”
