Lucasfilm President Says Studio “Will Never” Make Indiana Jones Movie Without Harrison Ford

with Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull In 2008, the inclusion of Shia LaBeouf as the son of Indiana and Marion Ravenwood made some viewers apprehensive that the character was cast to play the explorer, only for the final scene to confirm it. For that only Harrison Ford would sport the iconic fedora. Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy recently confirmed this, noting that, with Alden Ehrenreich attempting to replicate Han Solo’s swagger. Solo: A Star Wars StoryLooking at Ford as the character Indiana Jones 5 It was emphasized that the studio would not attempt to find another artist to embody the iconic figure.

“There should be moments along the way when you learn things. [Solo] certainly must have been a learning moment,” shared Kennedy Vanity Fair, “Some people have talked about how, well, maybe Solo There should have been a TV show. but even while doing Solo As for a TV show without Harrison Ford as Han Solo… it’s the same thinking. Maybe I should have recognized this earlier. we will never make Indiana Jones Without Harrison Ford. I can tell you, having just finished the fifth film, there wasn’t a day I wasn’t on set where I wasn’t like, ‘Yeah — it’s Indiana Jones.'”

She continued, “Maybe I’m closer to Indy’s DNA, and always have been, when I got into Star Wars, because it’s so painfully obvious now that we can’t do that. You’re excited These things go, and you want to rediscover the things you want. You want to recapture that feeling, and you’re trying to bring it back to life. I think we’re going to see that with our new characters. They do the same. With Star Wars, everyone talks about one. They feel about Star Wars. That’s the abstract idea you’re looking for.”

While LaBeouf may not have stepped down in Indiana’s location, Lucasfilm previously attempted to channel the character’s charm and charisma with the TV series The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, No matter what the studio has explored in the past, it seems, though we can’t rule out the emergence of a new character who honors the spirit of Indiana, we should never expect anyone to be their own.
