Kevin Smith brings back Mooby’s pop-up restaurant for San Diego Comic-Con

Filmmaker and geek icon Kevin Smith is bringing the fictional fast-food series Moby from “Askuniverse” to Comic Con International in San Diego next month. The pop-up will be on the Tin Roof (401 G Street in San Diego), and will offer both standard and vegetarian options for fast-food enthusiasts. The joint will be open July 21-24 (Thursdays-Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.), and Smith taps Thrillist’s #1 plant-based meat, Unreal Daily, to provide vegetarian options throughout the week. Smith himself has even created a mysterious vegetarian menu item that will be on the menu, along with options like burgers and cheesesteaks.

Mooby’s pop-up, which has already appeared in several cities and is even able to be ordered through food kits by Goldbelly, features the theme to mimic the movie version of the restaurant and allows fans to purchase exclusive Mooby’s merch onsite.

If you’re going to go to Comic Con (or just live nearby and are willing to brave the crowds), you can BOOK YOUR TIMELOT NOW for $30. Each ticket includes a Mooby’s meal with your selection of Moo Main + Salt Lick Sides. Mooby’s Soda, Mooby’s Chronic Con Beer, additional salt lick side items, desserts, and new merchandise will also be available for purchase at the pop-up.

Fans can buy up to four tickets online, but if you have a large group, this isn’t a dealbreaker: Walk-ins will also be welcome to the polls.

Tickets are also available for several live podcast recordings during the week of the convention, which will take place in the evening at Mooby’s Pop-Up at the Tin Roof. Unofficial SDCC Blog Did a great job of rounding up the official write-ups of each, as well as links to tickets, which you can check out below. Tickets will be limited, as the venue has a capacity of around 150-200 seats.
