James Gunn and Edgar Wright offer kind words to Batgirl directors

Warner Bros. So proud of you guys for all the wonderful work you all do and especially Ms. Marvel. Of course! Can’t wait to see it What’s next for you. Hope to see you soon.”

Feige isn’t the only manufacturer to extend its support. While their messages were not shared publicly, both James Gunn (suicide squad, peacemaker) and Edgar Wright (baby driver, last night in soho) helped comfort Falah and Al Arabi during this time.

“Thank you for all the messages of support around the world,” El Arbi wrote on Instagram. “Shoutout Directors Edgar Wright and James Gunn, your kind words and experiences mean a lot and help us through this difficult time.”

Gunn has seen unprecedented success in his years on comic book films, delivering a critically acclaimed ensemble cast within both the Marvel and DC Universes, not unlike how Fallah and El Arbi were set on projects in both worlds. Wright Has His Fingerprints on a Comic Book Movie, 2015 ant Man, but cannot claim that the film is entirely his. This is because despite developing a ant Man Feature film at Marvel Studios for years, Wright eventually left the project before filming began due to creative differences.
