Into the Spider-Verse directors reveal which comic actors are working on the film

Sony Animation to release sequel Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Next year, and it’s going to be a huge effort. When the studio announced the title of the film, they revealed that the film would be divided into two parts called Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse And Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, The sequel was initially scheduled to be released this past spring, but was delayed until the summer of 2023 to “more time to make it great”. Across the Spider-Verse Multiple universes with different art styles are expected to be featured, so you’d expect the directors to reach out to the experts for help. Thompson was delayed, according to directors Kemp Powers, Joaquin Dos Santos and JustinButt, with the film receiving little help from some of the most iconic comic book artists. During a recent interview cartoonbrew.comThe directors revealed exactly which actors helped in the film.

“Yeah. I mean, we were just talking about Chris Anka, who’s actually on our team,” Powers revealed. “He’s been amazing. Samford Greene who is another artist we really loved who’s involved here.”

“They’re like unsung heroes because all the work they do gets turned into these huge franchises, so let’s make sure we keep them in the fold. And Chris Anka can talk to him directly. I mean, he There’s a lot of redesigned costumes for these characters. And so now to be able to take it like your next iteration and to be able to take them out there for the ride, when you think about it, it’s One is a no-brainer. You are like ‘why did others don’t do this before?’ But, I’m glad we were the same.” Dos Santos added.

The first film was starring Bob Perschietti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman, so executive producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller thought it would be a good idea to continue that tradition on the sequel. Lord and Miller feel that having a trio of directors benefited the film theatrically, so adding dos Santos, Powers, and Thompson was a no-brainer. In a previous interview with ComicBook.com, the duo explained the process of hiring three directors for the animated Spider Man Shock.

“It’s a situation where the film was so ambitious, it was trying to do so many important things in its visual style, in its story style, in its cinematic style.” Miller previously explained to ComicBook.com. “Everything about it… the sound mixing was probably going to be phenomenal, so it required a lot of work. Every version of these films is a collaboration of hundreds of filmmakers working together, and the best versions of the people.” Contributing your creative ideas, and the people, the directors and the producers are the ones who decide which of those things fit the path you’re going to take.”

In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Miles Morales / Spider-Man (Shameik Moore) embarks on an adventure across the multiverse with Gwen Stacy / Spider-Woman (Hailee Steinfeld) and a new team of Spider-People who must face a powerful villain. Also returning from the first film are Oscar Isaac as Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099, and Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker/Spider-Man. Issa Rae also joins the cast as Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman.

Across the Spider-Verse Joaquim dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson, with a script by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Dave Callaham. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be in theaters on June 2, 2023.
