Gunn shared his tribute to the rapping photography on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 on the weekend.
“After over 100 days of shooting and over 3000 shots, it is slated for the final shot of #GotGVol3, presented to me by the camera crew. This was an easy shot of Rocket Seated, the first with @seangunn , and then there was nothing. , and took everything in me so as not to cry on the spot,” Gunn wrote on Twitter. “Most of the last ten years of my life have been spent thinking and working about Guardians. I still have a long road ahead with VFX and editing, but it was still important to me.”
“It’s somewhat easy to explain to others how much I love this cast and crew. It’s more difficult to explain how much I love these characters – that I see them as part of me and as parts of those people. Watching the people I love, and filming them, and writing their words, is a way of expressing that love,” he said. “Again, I’ll still be working with him next year until he’s released, but shooting that last shot was a reminder of the warm instability of life and love, and how this mortality makes it so precious, so valuable, and a I have good reason to be grateful for what I have now.”
