With the multiverse at the center of its story, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness took fans on a cameo-filled journey across multiple realities. While the Illuminati featured characters like Professor X (Patrick Stewart), Captain Carter (Haley Atwell) and Reed Richards (John Krasinski), the team’s official lineup was always in flux. In fact at one point in time, Thor’s brother Balder the Brave was slated to appear on the Inter-Dimensional Council played by none other than Daniel Craig.
Now that the film is officially on home media release, visual development artist Darrell J Warner shared a snippet of the character’s costume on his Instagram account. Although he does not explicitly state which character it is, Asgardian can be seen with one of Odin’s crows. Warner also says that the designs are related to a character who is the brother of Thor and Loki.
Earlier this month, variety of madness Costume designer Graham Churchyard told ComicBook.com that the character’s design had reached the prototyping stage before the character was replaced. Craig could not commit to the role due to various COVID-related travel restrictions around the world.
“We designed Balder the Brave a long way and then we waited, and waited, and waited on the casting,” Churchyard said on our Phase Zero podcast. , putting clothes and ideas together and waiting for an actor. Poor Baldar Bahadur, he almost made Thor 1 more Thor 2And Thor 3, if I may make it simple. Then, it’s just like, ‘Yay! He’s gonna show up!’ poor man. I’ve Seen The Archive Book Of Marvel’s Balder’s Helmet Going Back To Kenneth Branagh AlthoughR. So, he has been waiting for a long time and I don’t think he will be seen anytime soon.”
