Straight from the Disney Upfront presentation today comes the announcement that disillusionedDisney’s Long Evolution Magic The sequel film will release this Thanksgiving on Disney+. The sequel also revealed a first look at stars Amy Adams and Maya Rudolph, which you can find below. Disney Studios itself shared the news on social media, tweeting: “Here’s your first look at Disney’s Amy Adams and Maya Rudolph. #Bewitched, Watch the original film streaming this Thanksgiving on Disney+.” Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, and Idina Menzel are also returning for the film, which will also welcome Yvette Nicole Brown and Jayma May to the cast.
disillusioned The animated princess will return to the story of Giselle (Amy Adams), who found her way into the live-action world of New York City. This sequel has taken years to make and the original film was released in 2007 and the sequel is now coming after 15 years. Adam Shankman returns behind the camera as director.

“I’m talking to the director [Adam Shankman]Dempsey explained in a recent interview. “The story keeps getting better and better. There’s a great cast coming together. And the musical numbers, I get to sing and dance. It’s really exciting to be working with everyone again after 14 years. We just need some escapism.” We need those romantic comedies and those music to take people out of the despair we are in.”
“Every year they were like, ‘We’re going to do this. It’s going to happen,’ but then no one could agree on a script,” Dempsey said. “It’s such an important film to them and it’s a satire. It’s not a typical Disney movie. It’s a little off-brand. Still, we respect all the Disney movies that have come before and finally they are now. Turns out it’s over. And we’re old enough, so it’s like a midlife crisis movie.”
