During an auction event organized by Texas-based Heritage Auctionsa. a sealed copy of back in the future The VHS tape that was originally owned by Biff Tannon actor Tom Wilson sold for $75,000.

There is a note from the actor accompanying the VHS tape that: “This is a VHS tape of the first release. back in the future, was sent to me by the studio at that time. Since I knew the VHS platform would be around forever, I saved it for later and now I can’t find the VCR. oh well enjoy!”

ComicBook.com previously had a chance to discuss why back in the future With the author of all three films getting another sequel not to be rebooted. Bob Gale revealed that he thought it would be extremely difficult to recapture the magic of the first three films because of how detail-oriented the first film was. He also says that because of that logic, any attempt at a reboot or sequel would be doomed to disappoint.

“The thing that people don’t always understand about back in the future And whether it actually works is because people say, ‘Oh, let’s do a time travel series.’ Well, well, the time travel series is really hard to pull off,” Gail recently explained to ComicBook.com.back in the future Works because it’s the story of this family, and time travel is an element of it, but you totally get on with those characters. It is a great drama of that moment that happens in every human being’s life, this is the moment when we are kids and we suddenly realize, ‘Oh my god, my parents were also kids once.’ By the time you’re five or six, you look at your parents and they’re like God, and they don’t age as far as you can tell. They’ve always been there, and then all of a sudden, by the time you’re seven, eight, nine, you suddenly start putting it all together, that, ‘My parents were once kids.'”

He continued, “That’s the power back in the future, This is human stuff. It’s not the logistics of traveling through time, because, frankly, you look at a time travel series, both the things that they’ve done on television and the things they’ve done in comic books, and they’re the kind of time travel. fall into this trap of being used. as a conspiracy mechanism.”

Complete back to the future The trilogy is currently available on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and DVD.
