Megan Thee Stallion Hot Girl is taking the brand to sultry new levels. On Monday, the “Plan B” rapper arrived at the 2022 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City in a Moschino dress by designer Jeremy Scott.
This year’s Met Gala coincides with the second part of the Costume Institute’s exhibition, “In America: An Anthology of Fashion.” controversial subject “Gilded Glamor and White Tie.” The concept is a tribute to the United States’ gilded era, an era of extreme economic growth and major industrialization, as well as massive income inequality, political upheaval, and post-Civil War racism.
He told reporters that Megan took gala-goers back to the Gilded Age with her stunning gold gown and scintillating beauty, which took five or six hours to come together.
“Sweetest Pie” made its Emmy debut at the Met Gala last year during the event’s grand comeback. The theme of that night was “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” an exploration of the country’s sartorial identity and a deep dive into American ingenuity. Meghan looked stunning in a romantic and elegant look, draped in a pale pink Coach gown with dramatic ruffles and Fernando Jorge jewelry.
“I’m ready for everyone to see me. I’m ready for everyone to see me.” I was going to wear my hair apart and we landed on it,” she told ET about her look. Before walking in, Megan took a moment to share what it had in store for herself: “More hot girl Sh*t!”
ET recently spoke to Amy Odell, author of Anna: The Biography — a book about the trend Editor-in-Chief and gala organizer Anna Wintour—and she revealed plenty of Met Gala secrets—including George and Amal Clooney once getting their own private bar. Watch the video below for more.
