alexis and justin

Alexis told ET that she signed up for the show because she was “tired of the vicious dating cycle,” which she called “draining.” Similarly, Justin said that their method of dating “just wasn’t working.”

Although Alexis hadn’t seen a season of the show and Justin “literally knew nothing about it”, the two opted to give it a try with the support of most of their friends and families.

“My friends really encouraged it,” Justin said. “Actually, they were fans of the show… I finally told my mother… When I told her I was getting married in two weeks she said, ‘Boy, [are] you crazy?'”

As for Alexis, she said her “friends were definitely supportive,” probably because they “are indifferent to my crazy antics at this point.” However, her mother “didn’t believe it was a great idea.”

“I had to get my mom on board because I’m her child, but in the end everyone supported,” she said.

When they finally arrived at the altar, the pair had very different reactions to their soon-to-be wife.

“I was like, ‘Damn,'” Justin quipped. “… I was blown away, but when he opened his mouth [is] When he really found me [She has a good] personality and [is] Good looking, best of both worlds right there.”

Meanwhile, Alexis teased, “While walking down the aisle to see my husband, I was like, ‘He looks so familiar.’ That’s all I’ll say.”

Stacia and Nate

Stasia decided to give marriage at first sight A chance because she “just wanted to get married, wanted a partner and really lived life just to love and be loved by someone.”

Nate told ET, “I signed up for MAFS Because I wanted a best friend, partner and someone with whom to explore the whole world.”

While Stacia “knew a lot about the process” and was excited to take it out of her comfort zone, her friends and family thought she was “totally crazy and insane” to sign up.

Although Stacia felt good about her decision to sign up for the show, she admitted that her nerves were “fuzzy” on her wedding day. “I have sweat… I want to throw up, get out,” she said. “I just want to end it and meet my husband.”

Nate, meanwhile, was ready to match experts with a partner, and his family saw a similar situation. “They’re really good supporters,” he said. “They know I take risks.”

These particular exposures did not fully affect Nate as long as he was standing at the altar. “I’m just like, ‘What the hell did I sign up for?'” he recalled. “I’m looking forward to the transformation now and I’m really hoping Shrek doesn’t walk down the aisle.”

Seeing each other for the first time was calming for both Stacia and Nate, with both telling ET that it was a “relief” to keep track of their future spouses.

“My first impression of Nate was, ‘Thank God she’s beautiful,'” Stacia said, adding that Nate was “feeling better than ever” seeing his bride.

“My friends and family thought I was absolutely crazy,” Morgan told ET, “eventually, they came around and they are extremely supportive of all of this.”

Meanwhile, Binh told ET, “My friends love it. They’re happy for me, but my family, they’re a little skeptical.”

When their wedding day arrived, Morgan said that she had “a lot of feelings and thoughts running through her mind”.

“I was so nervous, I was worried, I was a roller coaster of emotions,” she admitted, “but walking down the aisle at the end, you just forget about all that.”

Binh agreed that he was “definitely concerned” and had “a hundred different thoughts in my head” before reciting his vows.

Kristen and Micho

Kristen was inspired to join the show because she wanted to share her happy life with someone. Plus, she said, “San Diego is full of beaches and sunshine and attractive men who look like they never want to grow up.”

Mitch had similar reasons for joining, telling ET, “I had a great life, but there was only one thing missing.”

While Kristen identified herself as “a giant” marriage at first sight Fans” who “watched every episode of every season,” Mitch, had “literally never” heard of the show.

Lindy was “sick of dating” when she signed up for the show, and she was “ready to be in a loving, committed marriage.” Miguel agreed, telling ET that he hopes “to find someone like Lindy that I can live happily and harmoniously and be fulfilled just by being on the show”.

While Lindy had watched a few seasons of the show before signing up, she said “nothing could have prepared me for the real experience.” Miguel, meanwhile, “binged a few seasons” after learning that he would, in fact, appear on the show.

As for how their families took the news, Lindy said it was different for each of their loved ones.

“My mom supported me from the very beginning when I signed up to marry a stranger. She always wanted what I wanted for myself,” she said. “My sister was very skeptical but helpful. My dad, I’m still trying to get him on board.”

Miguel wasn’t sure how his family would react to his decision, so he didn’t tell them about it until two weeks before their wedding day.

“At the time, my friends and family had no choice but to support me, because they knew I was going to do it, no matter what,” he told ET. “They’ve been really helpful.”

While Miguel was “anxious” as the big day drew to a close, Lindy said she was “really surprised at how calm she was”.

“Of course, there was some anxiety and panic … but for the most part I was excited to finally meet him,” she said. “I worked very hard to get to that point [that] I thought I was ready for it.”

When that moment came, it brought good things to both Lindy and Miguel.

“The second I saw Miguel, I was so excited,” said Lindy. “I thought he looked so handsome. I loved his suit. I had a crush on him immediately.”
