Kurt Russell’s Reaction To Kate Hudson’s Father’s Day Tribute Will Melt Your Heart

Kate Hudson’s Father’s Day tribute moved Kurt Russell to tears. In honor of the holiday, the 43-year-old actress shared an old photo of herself and her mom, Goldie Hawn, longtime boyfriend. Goldie, who has been with Kurt for nearly four decades, shares Kate and her brother, Oliver Hudson, with her ex-husband Bill Hudson.

“Funny, adventurous, passionate, determined, honest, dedicated, amazing dad and the best head of hair in Los Angeles!” Kate captioned the picture of herself resting her head on Kurt’s chest. “Lucky you! Love you pa! Happy Father’s Day.”

Goldie commented on Kate’s post saying, “Honey this picture speaks,” and added a red heart emoji.

In a second comment, Goldie revealed Kurt’s reaction to Kate’s post and photo, as the 71-year-old actor doesn’t have a social media account of her own.

Kurt said, “Birdie, Mommy just showed me this picture, it’s the perfect Father’s Day gift. I’ve never seen it before. Wow… that’s a killer.” “Lots of water under the bridge … It’s a little hard to see, although it seems like the water has found its way into my eyes … Thank you for making me the luckiest father in the world. I love you, Pa. “

In a January 2021 interview with Sunday Today Willie Geist. withKate talks to Bill about her estrangement and the impact Kurt has had on her life.

“I have a great family. I have a beautiful mother. I have a stepdad who has played a big, big role in sharing what it’s like to be a trusted father in our lives, but it doesn’t go away.” The fact is we didn’t know our father,” she said. “I think people sometimes need to hear that they are not alone.”

Oliver feels the same way, he told ET in May about the great advice Kurt gave him.

“When I was on my 24th birthday, I was struggling trying to figure that out as an actor,” he recalled. “Kate is a movie star, my parents are stars, I felt like a black sheep. I put it on myself. More [Kurt] Said, ‘Look, Oliver, you have to stop caring. What people think, how you look, don’t let everything be what you do.’ It’s not an easy task, but I think it’s the best advice because it frees you up.”
