According to him, Kelsey Owens is out of a job. The 25-year-old reality star told her Instagram followers on Friday that she was fired from MTV siesta’s After four seasons.
ET has reached out to MTV for comment.
Posting a photo of herself walking the runway in a pink swimsuit, Owens wrote, “Last night I was walking into the scene at a weird strip club of all places and was informed I would be cut moving forward . siesta’s without warning.”
Clearly upset by her apparent departure from the series, Owens said, “It’s amazing and really disgusting that when I was 19 years old, after working on a show where I shared things about my personal life.” Of course, I wasn’t always comfortable, turned my whole life around, and tried so hard to end so abruptly and abruptly.”
Owens told his Instagram followers that he “wasn’t even given a simple ‘thank you,’ for sharing the last five years of his life with us.”
The reality star said that after hearing the news, she is yet to film a scene for the show. “I cried my eyes out, then wiped those tears and filmed the last scene I could with my head held high,” she wrote. “Despite the way things were handled I’m so grateful for the friends I’ve made, the once in a lifetime opportunity I’ve had, and most of all the fans. I wish I could hug each and every one of you. You I don’t know how much your kind words and support mean to me and how much they have helped me get through my most difficult times.”
Owens concluded his post by continuing to excite his fans, “I couldn’t have made it through the last five years without all of you so thank you for that. I really am a better person because of you all. Mine. Time The show may have ended but this is just the beginning for me. Time to make my way into this next chapter.”
The post was met with lots of reactions, as did Owens’ co-stars and friends.
Mike Vazquez commented, “Love you Kelsey! You were one of the pillars of this show ️❤️.”
Tate Sweat, who appeared on the series as Amanda Miller’s boyfriend, also reacted, “Strut your stuff Kelsey!!!! ️ Proud of you!”
Meanwhile, Miller commented, “I will always be so grateful to have met you through the show, but you are a much better friend of mine and I can’t wait to see what comes next for you. Love you Always Kels.”
Also, Owens’ boyfriend Max Strong left a lengthy comment and talked about his experience with the production team. “I’m sorry you were treated like Kelsey. You’re an incredible person and I know you’ve put your heart into the show and want to believe in the best in the people who run it, but unfortunately The producers and show runners of this show are not just good people. Ever since I am doing the film on your behalf, they have shown it again and again,” he wrote. “They lie to your face and tell you they care about you in order to manipulate you into doing the things they need you to do — keeping all the money and episode checks on your head. I’ve done it since that time.” Saw it when I came on the show. And in your defense they’ve been very vocal about it, which I know why they didn’t want me with you in Miami. They created a terrible culture and working environment And I am honestly so relieved that we will now be able to move on with our lives. I promise you the best is yet to come 🙏🏼 Love you so much!”
While his exit from the series seems abrupt, Owens, who is running siesta’s Since its debut in 2017, previously indicated she was considering leaving the series, admitting to co-star Madison Hosberg that she was considering moving to Los Angeles.
In an episode of the show she said, “It’s definitely something I’ve thought about a lot, but it’s also tough because Max just got here. I feel like I’ve been taken out of the group lately.” It’s done. I don’t want it to happen.”
According to WeTwo months later, Owens said she was not moving to L.A. “I’m living in FL for myself no one else,” she wrote in response to a fan question during an Instagram Q&A in May.
