Kane Brown is channeling his inner cowboy for the music video for his hit single, “Like I Love Country Music.” ET’s Cassie DiLaura joined Brown on-set, where she teased what fans can expect from the scene, which “took her out of her comfort zone.”
Brown shared, “It’s going to be some line dancing, cowboy hats, cowboy boots — something you’ve never seen me do.”
While the confession comes as a surprise, the 28-year-old desi crooner said it has never been a part of her look.
“We had when I was a kid,” Brown admitted. “It was like, ‘Coming into the music industry, my roommate was like, ‘Man, it would be cool if you looked completely different than every other country artist, well, that’s what we did. He dressed me up. started, and I just ran with the style from there, so I never wore a cowboy hat.”
The video is also the first time fans will see Brown dancing – outside of a video he made on TikTok. To prepare, Brown is working with a choreographer to dance his line.
The “No,” the “Be Like That” singer confessed if she was good at line dancing. “I have an hour with the choreographer today that I have to learn. I watched the dance. It’s cool, but I was like, ‘An hour?’ I guess I need more time.”
It’s nothing that a little liquid courage can’t fix.
“I brought my tequila with me,” Brown reveals. “So, regardless of what it looks like, it should be fun.”
The music video will also feature Brown’s vintage truck and an exclusive pair of leather pants.
“I am bringing my old truck, which I am really excited about,” he shared. “’78 Ford, so, the truck you see in the video will be mine.”
“I’m so nervous about it,” Brown said of the leather pants. “But everyone who saw me in them yesterday was like, ‘Okay,’ and I have a belt buckle. I never wear belt buckles. It’s going to be an absolute experience.”
He continued, “The outfit is full Valentino. I’m really excited, just ’cause the jacket, you know, is kind of a rhinestone-y, absolutely black. It just looks — I don’t know — it’s really A strong form, but very different to me.”
While the getup is completely out of her comfort zone, Brown said she’s ready to replace her cowboy alter ego, Chris Anderson, and let the line dance its way into our hearts.
“When it comes to my wardrobe, I just let my stylist dress me up, and she had a blast, so she usually does a great job,” he explained. It’s just a way out of my comfort zone, and I said I wanted to get into acting, so, I’m up for it.”
On the other hand, the line of dance is something that the singer wants to try.
In addition to the music video, Brown is currently on his blessed and free travel And is hitting the road internationally with his upcoming, Drunk or Dreaming Tour.
Starting in Melbourne, Australia on 17 September, the tour will stop in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK and Europe.
This tour will be the first time that Brown will tour Australia and New Zealand.
“I’m excited. I’ve never been to Australia,” Brown said. “I heard it was beautiful. It’s one of my biggest markets outside of the United States, so, I’m really excited to be there. At first we thought it would be for a festival, but I Looks like we’ve been there for two weeks.”
It will also mark Brown’s return to Canada and Europe for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It’s good because we’re going to bigger places. I hope to go back to Ireland, which was one of my favorite places,” he said.
