Judds Final Tour Will Include Star-Studded Tributes to Naomi: Faith Hill, Brandi Carlyle & More

Wynonna Judd would be greatly supported as The Judds went on their final tour after the death of their mother, Naomi Judd. The 11-date arena tour will feature star-studded tributes to Naomi from fellow cast members including Brandi Carlyle, Faith Hill, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Ashley McBride and Trisha Yearwood.

“I am once again overwhelmed by the loyalty of the fans who have been with us for 38+ years, who continue to show up for me when I need it most,” Winona said in a press release Thursday. I am grateful that together we will continue to honor Judd’s legacy.”

Naomi’s widow, Larry Strickland, also said in the release that she is “so delighted that in this hour of grief for all of us, Winona has agreed to go ahead with this tour because my dear wife Naomi wanted her.” Do that.”

McBride will open select shows, followed by Winona who will sing her hits as well as songs from The Judds. Each night will feature a different artist, announcing surprises along the way. The tour begins on September 30 at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan and runs through October. Hill will be joined by Winona at the final stop in The Judds’ home state of Kentucky.

Wynonna confirmed the tour will go as planned during CMT’s Naomi Judd: A River of Time celebration last weekend.

Ashley said of the day her mother died, “It was a mixed day. When I’m at home in Tennessee I go with my mom and pop every day, so I go home like every day Mother said to me, ‘Will you stay with me?’ And I said, ‘Of course I will.’ … I went upstairs to tell her that her good friend was there and I found her. I am both sad and traumatized by finding her.”
