Working with Brad Pitt is a lot of experience, just ask Joey King.

The 23-year-old actress starred alongside Pitt in the high-octane action comedy bullet trainDirected by David Leach, about five assassins board a single bullet train out of Tokyo. While working with an icon she felt irritable about her first day, King says she was most surprised to learn how “surprisingly normal” Pitt is in real life.

“I was overwhelmed and a little scared when I first landed on this project,” King told ET’s Nichelle Turner at the film’s Los Angeles premiere on Monday night. “It’s just like, ‘Holly Cannoli, an action movie with David Leach and Brad Pitt,’ like, ‘This is wild!’ And you get on that set, and it just feels so comfortable and exciting and, you know, you can take risks.”

Despite his initial nervousness about working with Pitt, King credits the 58-year-old actor for being a big part of the relaxed atmosphere on set.

“We’ve got Brad, you know, just a little bit that sets the tone,” she says. “I mean, he’s an amazing, talented leader.”

The agile cast includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Bad Bunny, Sandra Bullock, Michael Shannon and more.

“Brad is such a big cheerleader for everyone,” she continues. “It was really wild to be like, ‘Wow, what a nice, normal man.

The cast’s camaraderie has been on full display during their recent press tour.

“We have the most wonderful friendship and I am so grateful for that because there is nothing better than loving the project you are doing and being proud of the result of what you guys did together,” she says.

In fact, they’re more than just a band of actors – King jokes that they actually formed an actual band, “We have a whole band name and everything!”

According to King, “we are called naked down the line.” Although he’s not entirely sure where the somewhat NSFW nickname came from. “I can’t even remember the story behind the band’s name!”

“I don’t know how it happened! We have the most wonderful time together,” she adds.
