James Corden is leaving 'The Late Late Show' in 2023

Corden has been host of 'The Last Show' since 2015.

James Corden is leaving the late show, ET learns Corden has extended his deal with CBS late late show For one more season before I plan to leave. Corden will leave the show at the end of its expansion in spring 2023.

Corden plans to exit the late night talk show on Thursday night’s episode.

CBS President and CEO George Cheeks shared a statement Thursday about Corden’s achievements at the network.

“Seven years ago, James Corden came to America and took television by storm, with huge creative and comedic swings that resonated with audiences on-air and online at large,” said Gaal. “From ‘Crosswalk the Musical’ to the legendary ‘Carpool Karaoke,’ and every unique comedy segment he’s offered, James has actually re-imagined many elements of the late night format. He’s also a great network showman. who entertains audiences with his knightly perch. On the Tony and Grammy stage in Television City as well.”

He also shared his desire for Corden to stay on as host for a long time.

Cheeks continued, “In my two years at CBS, I have had the privilege of watching James’ creative talents up close and experiencing his valuable partnership with CBS as both an artist and producer. We wish he could Long lasting, but we’re so proud they made CBS their American home and this partnership will go on for another season late late show,

Corden signed a contract to host late late showWhich was previously hosted by Ferguson in 2014 and premiered on 23 March 2015.
