Jack Harlow delivered a first-class performance as he took the BET Awards stage for the first time on Sunday.

The 24-year-old Emmys made her set debut with a performance of “Zehar”. Harlow wore a black undershirt and matching black pants on stage—a copy of a house party—while she rapped the song from her latest album, come home the kids miss you,

Surprised by Lil Wayne, who came out and rapped his poem from the track.

Taking things up a notch, the rapper went on his viral hit, “First Class,” which left the audience on their feet. Surrounded by background dancers, the rapper hit his signature two-step while performing the single.

In one of the biggest surprises, Brandi graced the stage and performed a poem with the rapper, before dancing with him.

The singer’s appearance comes after Harlow rocked the internet for not being familiar with her music catalog and influence.

Harlow begins her night out with the support of her friend and collaborator, Lil Nas X. The rapper wore a shirt that featured Lil Nas X’s face with black Givenchy pants and boots.

Lil Nas X reacted to his friend’s consent on the carpet after being removed from this year’s ceremony on Twitter.

“Wow, I really love this guy,” the rapper replied to a tweet containing a photo of Harlow from the carpet.

Harlow’s performance comes after social media took issue with her nomination in the Best Male Hip-Hop category. Harlow was cast as Drake, Future, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye “Ye” West, J. Cole and Lil Baby in the category.

Fans took to social media to question how she was nominated instead of her friend, and collaborator, Lil Nas X — who was turned down by BET this year.
