Iggy Azalea is walking away from music. The 31-year-old rapper took to Twitter on Thursday to announce that, following the release of her next album, The end of an era, will be taking a multi-year break from the industry.
“The end of an era It’s so special to me because after I drop my album next month I’m going to take a few years to focus on other creative projects and things that I’m passionate about. “Shifting my energy and focus to what excites me the most, what is right for me and I hope you continue to support whatever creative projects I am doing here!” Azalea continued. “I really love this album and I just want my fans to enjoy this with me. I hope to see many of you on tour!”
Following her announcement, Azalea received support from fans with a writing, “I’m so excited about whatever you do because I know you always give 150%!”
“Yes!” Azalea replied. “I have the coolest project to be released the week after my album and I can’t wait for you to see it!”
Another fan noted that Azalea’s announcement means that she and her fans are “taking this era and going big.”
“You deserve to explore and do other things that make you happy,” the Twitter user continued. “I can’t wait to see the new efforts. In the meantime, let’s improvise.”

The end of an era It will mark Azalea’s third album when it releases in August, though a specific release date has yet to be announced. Azalea will serve as a special guest at Pitbull I feel good tour, which will begin on August 20 in Clarkston, Michigan.
