Walter Olkewicz, ‘Twin Peaks’ actor, dies at 72

Walter Olkewicz is dead. The character actor passed away on Tuesday, April 6, at the age of 72, as confirmed by his son, Zak Olkewicz. The Hollywood Reporter.

According to the young Olkewicz, his father had struggled with health problems for the past 20 years. The problems were largely due to a series of knee surgeries that caused infections and led to him being bedridden.

Walter was known largely for his role as Canadian Jacques in Twin peaks. He reprized his role in the show’s reboot in 2017, which ended up being his last acting credit.

“It was his first role in almost 15 years, and he did it all from behind a bar to cover the fact that he couldn’t stand,” Zak told the outlet.

He made his screen debut in 1976. Future world, before appearing in movies like 1941, Doing the Degree, The panorama, Stuart saves his family and Pair 6.

In addition to Twin peaks, Walter appeared on shows including Grace under fire, The last resort, Wizards and warriors, Partners in crime, Seinfeld, Who is the boss?, and Night cut.

Walter is survived by Zak, his daughter-in-law Katrina Rennells, and two grandchildren.
