‘Vanderpump Rules’ star Scheana Shay gives birth to baby girl with Brock Davies

Scheana Shay has welcomed a girl with her boyfriend, Brock Davies! The 35-year-old Vanderpump Rules star announced the birth of her baby on Tuesday after posting about the delivery on her Instagram Stories on Sunday.

“My heart is SO FULL 🀍,” Shay captioned a sweet photo of her and Davies with their bundle of joy. “On the morning of 4/26/21 we welcomed Summer Moon Honey Davies into the world, weighing 6 lbs. 12 oz.”

However, the reality star birth experience was not easy. “Almost 24 hours after being induced, my blood pressure was extremely high. I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia, which has now turned into HELLP syndrome,” she shared. “My doctor said I was lucky, and we caught it just in time to treat it, as it is very unusual to be caught so late, postpartum. Until this morning, I was taking a magnesium drip which left me extremely lethargic and looking like the flu, with chills. uncontrollably to the point where I felt like I was having a seizure. Not having detected this condition in time, that would have been likely. I am still being closely monitored for elevated levels of liver enzymes and platelets in low blood and I’m not sure how long we’ll be here. “

“Thank you to everyone who has reached out and sent your love and thank you to the amazing staff here at Cedars-Sinai,” Shay concluded in her post. “We are definitely feeling all the feelings and so excited to be Summer’s parents!”

On Sunday, Shay shared a mirror selfie of her bare tummy in a black bra and underwear, writing: “How it started … at 40 weeks …” She quickly followed up with a shot of her arm swinging a bracelet from the hospital and Davies in the background, writing, “How’s it going … 40 weeks, one day … # everything is happening”, and tagging her baby’s account, @minischeana.

Proud father Davies spoke about his girlfriend after the birth, writing: “I also feel useless compared to seeing such an amazing experience, I was very involved in supporting @scheana who was a wonder woman.”

The couple first announced that they were expecting a baby in October.

“IT’S ALL HAPPENING IN APRIL 2021 !!!” she captioned a photo of her and Davies holding a positive pregnancy test and ultrasound photo on Instagram: “We are expecting our rainbow baby !!! 🌈 πŸ‘ΆπŸ» “.

The following month, the reality star revealed that she and Davies were expecting a girl. Along with her gender reveal photos, Shay exclaimed, “IT’S A GIRL !!! πŸŽ€ I can’t wait to put the biggest bows in her hair and shower her in unicorns and rainbows!”

The happy news for the couple came just months after Shay shared that she had suffered a miscarriage. “A few weeks ago, we found out she was pregnant,” she told listeners during an episode of her Scheananigans with Scheana Shay podcast in June before going into details on the loss of the baby. β€œWe got home from dinner and it wasn’t graphic, but I went to the bathroom and there was blood. And I know that it is normal to detect it in the first trimester, “he shared.” So I said, ‘Okay, this is more than I would like to see. But I’m fine. I’m good. Like, it’s going to be okay. ‘

However, things were sadly not right, as Shay found out later when she went to the doctor. “There was nothing progressing, nothing growing inside,” Shay continued. “There were only parts that I could see starting to form, and it wasn’t. So obviously, [that was] just devastating. We were so excited and then just be excited for a few weeks and then it just went so fast. There has still been a lot to process. “

Shay spoke to ET in January 2019 about her decision to freeze her eggs. “It’s been on my mind for the last two and a half years,” he explained. β€œI just didn’t have time to do it until now and once we finished filming [season 7Β ofΒ Vanderpump Rules], I did my trip in October. I went to Iceland, did all these amazing things, and I was like, ‘Okay, you know what? Now is the time, I’m doing it now. If I don’t do it now, I never will. I’ll keep talking about it. ‘ So, I woke up one day, stopped birth control, and decided I was doing this now. “
