Flying to date is Eva Air’s new singles service projected as a speed dating flight.
The Taiwanese airline offers single men and women to take a plane for a “Flight to Nowhere”. The objective is that they can carry out speed dates on board the plane and find their better half there.
People will sit randomly on the trip, but can move around to meet other people. At the end of the flight they will be able to confess if Cupid had his heart with any of the people they shared with.
Love is in the air – speed dating flight motto
This proposal was based on an alliance between Eva Airways and the travel company Mobius to provide the experience that the pandemic left behind for many people.
“Flying! Love is in the air ”, is the motto that gives meaning to the speed dating flight campaign. Christmas, New Years Eve and New Years are the three available offers. Although it turned out that all the reservations for the first flight were sold in a week.
Chiang Tsung-Wei, a spokesman for the agent for Mobius, told CNN that bogus travel was an idea thought up during the pandemic, a time when people have a desire to travel.
When single men and women travel, in addition to enjoying the fun of the trip, they may want to meet someone, like in a scene from a romantic movie, Tsung-Wei said.
Who can travel in search of love?
Within each flight there can be 40 passengers with citizenship of Taiwan and necessarily university graduates. There are 20 women aged between 24 and 35 years; and 20 men between 28 and 38 years old. The age ranges respond to the interest of travelers according to which men want to meet women younger than them.
The price per person is $ 295 and apart from the 3-hour flight, it includes an extra two hours for a romantic date on land.
Flights will depart from Taipei Taoyuan International Airport and will travel through Taiwanese airspace.
