Princess Eugenie of England and her husband Jack Brooksbank have already decided what name they will give their baby. August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, will be the name of the new member of the family reported on Saturday Buckingham Palace.
The couple chose that name in honor of their two great-grandparents. They also chose to give the happy news the same weekend that one of their grandparents has a birthday. The princess also took the opportunity to send good wishes for recovery to her grandfather Felipe, who is hospitalized.
The baby was born on February 9 at the Portland Hospital in London and is the ninth great-grandson of Queen Elizabeth II.
Princess Eugenia made the tender announcement on her Instagram account
Eugenia, 30, is the Queen’s granddaughter and the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York. The baby is her first child and will provisionally occupy eleventh place in line to the British throne.
The princess posted a photo on Instagram of the couple holding their son, who appears wrapped in a blue blanket with a matching cap.
Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have two more great-grandchildren on the way. Both Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and Princess Anne’s daughter Zoe Tindall will give birth this year.
Meghan’s son and her husband, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, will become eighth in the line of succession after his older brother, Archie, moving the newborn baby to the twelfth place in the line of succession.
