Prince Charles asked about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah at an official event

The royal family continues with their official duties amid the backlash surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s shocking revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey. On Tuesday, Prince Charles was the first member of the royal family to attend an official event since the interview aired.

The 72-year-old Prince of Wales visited an NHS vaccination center in London where a journalist asked him: “Sir, what did you think of the interview?”

According to real reportersCharles was seen “giggling” and continued walking in the official engagement, ignoring the question.

Charles’s visit was in an effort to combat doubts about vaccines within the UK.

There has been no official comment from the Palace after the couple’s controversial interview. After it aired in the US on Sunday night, then it aired in the UK on Monday night and has been talked about a lot.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl previously told ET that a source close to Prince Charles told her he was “desperate for the interview” days before it was published.

During the interview, Prince Harry didn’t hold back when talking about his relationship with his father.

At one point during the interview, she claimed that Charles “stopped taking my calls.”

“Because … at that point, I took matters into my own hands,” Harry said, explaining the breakup. “It was like I had to do this for my family. This is no surprise to anyone. It’s really sad that it got to this point, but I have to do something for my own sanity, my wife’s and Archie too, because I could see where this was heading. ”

Later in the interview, Harry said that Charles was now taking his calls, but that their relationship had been damaged.

“There’s a lot to work on there, you know? I’m really disappointed, because he’s been through something similar,” Harry said.

The Duke of Sussex also expressed his sympathy for both his father and his brother, Prince William, and said they were “trapped” within the monarchy system.

“My father and my brother are all trapped,” he said. “They can’t leave. And I have great compassion for that.”

Harry also claimed that his family, including Charles, had cut him off financially and that he was relying on the trust left in him by his late mother, Princess Diana.
