‘OutDaughtered’: Danielle Busby shares her fears about her mysterious illness (exclusive)

Danielle Busby is looking for answers.

The Outdaughtered Star has been dealing with a mysterious illness since November, and now fans will watch her journey as she tries to resolve her health issues. In ET’s exclusive clip from the next episode of the TLC show, Danielle shares the moment she knew something was wrong.

“I knew it was serious because I had never felt this in my life. I didn’t know if I was having a heart attack,” the mother of six tells the cameras. “I literally felt like my arm was literally going to explode. That’s what it feels like inside.”

In an effort to better understand or diagnose her chronic symptoms, Danielle shares that her husband, Adam Busby, suggested they go to the emergency room. In her mind, she couldn’t help but fear the impact of her illness on her relationship with her children. The couple are parents to their 9-year-old daughter Blayke and quintuplets Ava Lane, Olivia Marie, Hazel Grace, Riley Paige and 5-year-old Parker Kate.

“You instantly think of your children. That instantly comes to mind,” says Danielle. “I still have a lot of life that I want to live with them, and am I not going to do that anymore?”

Danielle admits that she wondered what she was doing “wrong” to allow that to happen to her body, while explaining her symptoms and what the doctors told her.

ET spoke to the Busbys about where Danielle’s health is, revealing that they don’t have any solid answers yet.

“I’m looking at a possible autoimmune disease and sometimes that’s not easy to define. I just have to go through a lot of the same processes all over again, restarting different blood test routines and everything,” shared Danielle. . “We have always lived a healthy lifestyle. I just try to really analyze food and [figure out], ‘How can I eat differently? Could that help with inflammation? Because there are certain foods that stress inflammation and everything. It’s really, ‘How do we maintain her pain level and what is she going through until we can figure out what the underlying problem is?’ “

He added that, for the moment, he has prioritized his mental health, telling ET that he draws on his love of fitness and inner spirituality to “help keep my state of mind aligned.”

“It can explode in waves,” he said. “You can get stressed very easily in this house. With fitness, which is always a mental blocker for me, I can tune out and stuff. That’s something I always try to maintain, and then just my spirituality.”
