This Wednesday marks 26 years since Selena Quintanilla was murdered by Yolanda Saldívar, when the Latin star was 23 years old, so we tell you how the 911 calls were.
There are several theories about the death of Selana Quintanilla, one of the best known being that the artist went to Days Inn motel in Corpus Christi, Texas, to request missing financial records that Saldívar had.
Saldívar was accused by Selena’s family of embezzling more than $ 30,000 from clothing stores and the singer’s fan club.
Nevertheless, calls to 911 show the chilling moments that Selena Quintanilla lived after the shooting that his then friend, Yolanda Saldívar, gave him from behind.
According to the calls, Selena entered the hotel lobby, bleeding and asking for help.
She said ‘close the door, he will shoot me again,’ receptionist Shawna Vela said in a comment.

- Employee: We have a woman. She ran into the lobby, they shot her, she’s lying on the floor and there’s blood.
- Operator: How old are you?
- Employee: She appears to be in her 20s.
- Operator: Are you in the lobby right now?
- Employee: Yes ma’am, you just passed out.

During Yolanda Saldívar’s trial, which took place in downtown Houston, employees testified that they saw the 23-year-old Grammy winner running and screaming down a hallway as Saldívar chased her.
According to what they said, Saldívar stopped before reaching the lobby, lowered the gun and returned to room 158.
