Ken Jennings wraps ‘Jeopardy!’ Guest host concert with a thank you to Alex Trebek

Ken Jennings wrapped up his 6-week guest host gig on Danger! with a sweet thanks to the late host of the show. In a post on Twitter after his last episode on Friday, Jennings thanked fans for tuning in and gave Alex Trebek special recognition.

“It’s a recap of my six weeks of @Jeopardy guest hosting. Thanks for watching, thanks for your patience with a difficult learning curve … and as always, thanks Alex,” he wrote, adding a blue heart emoji.

Jennings, a consulting producer at Danger! and one of the show’s “All-Time Greatest” also reminded fans to keep waiting for more guest presenters.

Jennings began his guest host season last month with a touching tribute to Trebek, who died last November after a battle with stage four pancreatic cancer. He was 80 years old.

“Welcome to Danger! Sharing this stage with Alex Trebek was one of the greatest honors of my life, “Jennings said at the time.” Not many things in life are perfect, but Alex did this job flawlessly for over 36 years, and even better up close. “

“We were dazzled by his intelligence, his charm, his grace, really, there is no other word for that,” he continued. “Like all Jeopardy! Fans, I miss Alex so much and thank him for everything he did for all of us. Let’s be totally clear: no one will replace the great Alex Trebek. But we can honor him by playing the game he loved.”
