Kelly Ripa reflects on meeting Mark Consuelos in ‘All my children’ and starting his family (Exclusive)

Kelly Ripa is thinking about the beginning of her relationship with her husband, Mark Consuelos. ET’s Rachel Smith talks to Ripa on Tuesday on Entertainment Tonight about how her and Consuelos’ lives together began while they both starred. All my kids like Hayley Vaughan and Mateo Santos.

The couple married in 1996 and had three children, Michael, 23, Lola, 19, and Joaquin, 17.

All my kids is responsible for my whole life. I don’t like to say that lightly. I met my husband in All my kids. I had my children in All my kids, “Share Ripa”. [Live With Regis and Kelly] standing in my dressing room in All my kids. He is responsible for my whole life. I’m not being simplistic when I say that. “

In fact, Ripa says she was “devastated” when the show went off the air in 2011. “Not for me because I had already left the show by then, but I was devastated for the fanbase because it means a lot to them.” she explains.

Ripa and Consuelos love the show so much that they are executive producersPine valley, an ABC primetime follow-up series that is in early development.

While the couple have their next professional project in the works, Ripa is already thinking about her retirement, which she would like to live in Palm Springs, California.

“I’m really excited to get started on this,” Ripa says of her retirement plans. “I’m going to take a virtual real estate tour to accompany our virtual show.”

Meanwhile, Seacrest notes that it is looking forward to traveling once it is safe in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I want to go to the beaches. In fact, I want to go abroad. I would love to go eat some really good Italian food,” he says. “I would like to wander very far.”

As for how Ripa’s family travels, she says: “I have to say that we, the Consuelos family, like to get off the beaten track and try not to have a schedule. We go where the people who live there go. We tend to ask local people, ‘What do you like to eat? Where do you like to go?’ … We are a bit spontaneous and nomadic when it comes to traveling. “
