Katy Perry stuns with darker hair during an interview on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

Katy Perry went back to her roots with long black locks on Monday. The singer and american idol The judge joined Jimmy Kimmel for an in-studio interview and was shocked at his new look, which she later revealed was “fake.”

After teasing her long dark hair on Instagram earlier that day, the singer came out and wowed Kimmel, who joked about her wide variety of different styles over the years.

“You look fantastic!” Kimmel said. “I never know how long your hair is going to be, what color it’s going to be. It’s a surprise every time.”

“Well, you know, I like to keep people on the edge of their seats,” Perry said with a smile.

The new mom, who welcomed her baby, whom she shares with fiance Orlando Bloom, in August, said she likes to enjoy the few nights she is away from home.

“When Mom’s got a night off, she totally leans in,” Perry joked.

She also spoke about motherhood and said that having her daughter, Daisy, was “the best decision I have ever made in my life.”

The singer said that she has received a lot of support from family and friends regarding sharing the workload that comes with raising a baby, and joked about how Bloom already has experience.

“I have an amazing fiancĂ© who has done this before. He has a 10-year-old son,” Perry said, referring to Bloom’s son Flynn, whom he shares with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr. “So it’s been amazing, we are so in love and we are so thankful.”

He also reflected on his daughter’s adorable name, Daisy Dove Bloom, and explained: “‘Daisy’ to me means pure, like, purity and ‘dove’ means peace, and ‘bloom’ feels like it means joy,” he shared. “So [it’s like] pure peace and joy “.

After her interview aired, Perry shared a video on her Instagram story that reveals her long black hair was just a wig, and she still sports her short blonde pixie cut.

In the clip, Perry smiles at the camera as she glares and jokingly says, “It’s all fake!”
