Kanye West Says He’s ‘Praying’ for Issa Rae After She Mentions Him in ‘SNL’ Joke

Kanye West is not happy about his mention this weekend Shanivari Night Live. The rapper wrote on Twitter to react to Issa Rai’s joke about her presidential campaign on Sunday, writing that he is “praying for her and her family.”

“I’ve always said SNL Uses black people to hold back other black people, “West tweeted.” My heart goes out for Issa Rae. I am praying for him and his family. “

“I know that the twenty years of service that I have paid in the field of entertainment has pushed our potential to be more successful,” he said.

West was mentioned SNL“Your Vote Chicago” sketch. Rae, who played a representative for the NAACP on the morning talk show, said he is voting for “Everyone Black” – a reference to the 2017 Emmys actress’ commentary.

However, there was one black candidate who did not support him – West. “When we return, we’ll talk about the presidential race between Donald Trump, Joe Biden, and Kanye West,” said Kenan Thompson’s anchor character during the sketch, which fired Rae’s character back Gone, “Uni! F!”

West, who announced he was running for the presidency in the summer, has a somewhat controversial relationship with SNL. Following his 2018 performance on the show, West gave an unplanned speech to the audience supporting President Donald Trump – which did not go down well with the cast.

Pete Davidson criticized the speech on Weekend Update the following week, calling it “one of the worst, weirdest things I’ve ever seen.”
