GLAAD Media Awards 2021: How to Watch, Time, Present, Presenters and More

The GLAAD Media Awards 2021 will be available to more people this year than ever. For the first time, the LGBTQ organization’s annual awards ceremony will air on Hulu. Niecy Nash is the host of the event, which honors fair, accurate and inclusive portrayals of LGBTQ people and issues in the media.

In addition to handing out awards, the show will also honor the legacy of the late Naya Rivera by bringing together the cast of Joy on the show, to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Rivera’s character in Joy, Santana, coming out on the show. Rivera tragically died last July at the age of 33.

When are the GLAAD Media Awards? The show will air on Thursday, April 8, 2021.

How to watch: The virtual ceremony will be broadcast on GLAAD YouTube at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT. Immediately afterwards, you can watch the 2021 GLAAD Media Awards on Hulu starting at 10 pm ET, where the program will be available until the end of June.

Who is the host? Niecy Nash is the host of the show, who last year married Jessica Betts in a surprise wedding in August. Nash also opened up with ET’s Nischelle Turner about introducing the show as a new member of the LGBTQ + community.

“I never saw this day come in my life,” Nash told ET. “But I’m happy to be here. I’m so happy to be a part of something that has been a blessing to so many people and an encouragement to so many people at the same time. So here we are!”
