Felix Silla, star of ‘Addams Family’, dies at 84

Felix Silla is dead. The actor, best known for playing Cousin Itt in The Addams Family – He died on Friday, his friend and former co-star Gil Gerard wrote on Twitter.

Silla, who has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, is survived by his wife Sue and their two children.

“Felix died just a few hours ago and the only good thing I can get out of his passing is that he didn’t suffer anymore,” Gerard tweeted. “I will miss him so much, especially the good time we spent on our panels.”

Silla, who was born in Roccacasale, Italy, in 1937, toured with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus before moving on to film and television.

He played Cousin Itt in 17 episodes of The Addams family, which ran between 1965 and 1966. In addition to his role in the sitcom, he also participated in Bonanza, The Monkees, HR Pufnstuf, Bewitched, Battlestar Gallactica, Mork & Mindy, The Dukes of Hazzard, Star Trek Y Married with children.

Silla also played an Ewok in Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, and appeared in other movies like Planet of the Apes, Spaceballs Y Batman Returns.
