“I definitely feel uncomfortable,” she says as Biniyam watches and laughs. “The priest looks at me and I obviously look different from the others, and there is, like, smoke, there is incense, and the priest comes and puts a Bible in my face. So, it’s a lot.”

During last week’s episode, Ariela got into a fight with Biniyam’s sisters over Avi’s baptism – she explained in a previous episode that she was uncomfortable with the idea of Christianity because she doesn’t believe in hell – and also shocked her father when he found out about her. he agreed to baptize him.
“I thought that having talked to Ari, Avi would be brought up as a Jew,” he said. “I think it is being forced.”
Ariela’s mother, who is Catholic, was also surprised.
“When you baptize them, they usually get baptized in that faith,” she told Ariela after her daughter told her that she justified it by telling herself that they were just putting Avi in water and throwing a party for him.
