Following the premiere of the HBO documentary, Allen vs. Farrow, Dylan Farrow shares his thanks to his fans. In the four-part series, she claims that her adoptive father, Woody Allen, sexually abused her when she was seven years old.
“Thank you all for your kind words, the huge amount of support means more to me than I can say. Telling the truth is very difficult, but I hope the other survivors you saw last night know that they are not alone. The truth is something that cannot be changed, ”Farrow posted on Twitter Monday.
He added in another tweet, while linking to RAINN’s shared resources, “If you feel empowered to speak up, there are resources and support available.”
In the series, Farrow appears on camera, detailing his relationship with the filmmaker and what allegedly happened to him at his mother Mia Farrow’s home in Connecticut in August 1992. The premiere marked his first time speaking on camera since his interview. of 2018 with CBS this morning.
After the premiere, Farrow’s brother Ronan shared his support on Instagram. “Proud of my sister,” he captioned a photo of the two.
The Farrows weren’t the only ones talking about the documentary series.
On Sunday, Allen, who has continually denied allegations of sexual abuse or wrongdoing, and his wife, Soon-Yi Previn, issued a statement criticizing the project’s veracity.
“These documentary makers had no interest in the truth,” the couple said in a statement issued to ET by a spokesperson for the couple. “Instead, they spent years surreptitiously collaborating with the Farrows and their facilitators to put together an ax job riddled with falsehoods.”
