Dua Lipa, Travis Scott and Nicki Minaj are the winners of the Premio Lo Nuestro.
The British singer won the Crossover Collaboration of the Year award for her song “Un Día (One Day)” featuring J Balvin, Bad Bunny and Tainy. The bilingual track was released in July and seamlessly blends Lipa’s pop-house sound with the Latin trio’s acclaimed reggaeton.
“Un Día” marked the first time that Balvin, Bad Bunny and Tainy worked with Lipa. The song is currently nominated for Best Pop Group / Duo Performance at the upcoming 2021 GRAMMY Awards.
Additionally, Scott and Rosalía’s song “TKN” also won the Lo Nuestro Award for Video of the Year. The song was released in May. The video also earned the couple a Latin GRAMMY in November. They took home the trophy for best short form music video.
“TKN” marked the second time the two worked together. They previously collaborated on the remix of Scott’s “Highest in the Room.”
As for Minaj, their collaboration with Karol G, “Tusa”, earned them the award for Song of the Year. The catchy tune was first released in November 2019. It was also nominated for two Latin GRAMMYs, in the Album and Song of the Year categories.
